Fitness Workouts for Amputees

Welcome to our fitness workouts! In March 2020 we were all surprised with a new reality and a new everyday life. We could no longer train with our physios or in a fitness studio, but had to maintain our fitness at home. Ottobock Paralympic ambassadors Heinrich Popow and Johannes Floors had the idea to create fitness videos for amputees that everyone can do at home. We regularly organized live workouts with a physiotherapist and an athlete on the Passion for Paralympics Facebook page . Now all workouts are available on Ottobock YouTube .

Full body workout

Day 1 In this first training session Heinrich Popow and physiotherapist Christoph are focusing on different workouts for the whole body.

Leg workout

Day 2 Heinrich Popow and physiotherapist Christoph are combining different workout focusing on the legs. Equipment: chair, bottle of water, Theraband.

Full body fitness workout

Day 3 Heinrich Popow and physiotherapist Christoph are combining the first two workouts focusing on the whole body.

Ottobock fitness app workout

Day 4 In this training Heinrich Popow and physiotherapist Christoph are doing a workout based on the Ottobock Fitness App. Focus: coordination and balance.

Workout without a prosthesis

Workout on the ground for amputees who are not wearing a prosthesis or like to be save on the ground while training.

Full body workout

Day 6 Johannes Floors and physiotherapist Christoph are doing a whole body workout focusing on different muscle groups. No equipment needed.

Lower body fitness workout

Day 7 Johannes Floors and physiotherapist Christoph are doing a workout for the legs with a Theraband. Bring one along if you have!

Upper body fitness workout

Day 8 Johannes Floors and physiotherapist Christoph are doing a upper body workout with a Theraband. Bring one along if you have!

High intensity fitness workout

Day 9 Johannes Floors and physiotherapist Christoph will do a 10-minute high intensity workout especially designed for amputees. No equipment is needed.

Mobility & stretching workout

Day 10 Johannes Floors and physiotherapist Christoph will show you mobility exercises you can do at home. No equipment is needed.

Upper Body Mobilisation

Birgit and Martin will show you fitness exercises focusing on the upper body mobilisation, coordination and balance. No equipment needed.

Upper Body Core Stability

Birgit and Martin will show you different fitness exercises focusing on the upper body core stability. No fitness equipment needed.
